Revitalize with Emsella for Incontinence

Men and women can experience urinary incontinence for a variety of reasons: childbirth, prostate cancer, aging, menopause or obesity. Each of these can cause the pelvic floor muscles to weaken. When this occurs, they can’t support the pelvic organs well enough, and urinary incontinence follows.

Emsella is a safe, FDA-approved treatment for these concerns, designed to treat urinary incontinence and vaginal laxity. If you’re one of more than 200 million people worldwide who are affected by these concerns, Emsella may be the ideal solution for you.

What is Emsella?

Emsella is a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment designed to strengthen the pelvic floor. Emsella is a unique, customized chair device that emits a high-intensity electromagnetic field. This triggers motor neurons in the pelvic floor. This repairs and strengthens the muscles of the pelvic floor.

The treatment is comfortable, and you can remain fully clothed during your Emsella experience, which lasts for about 30 minutes.

Why does the Emsella treatment work?

The Emsella treatment is designed to help you strengthen the pelvic floor muscles. Once these muscles are weakened, it is very hard to strengthen these on your own, especially after prostate surgery or vaginal childbirth. Kegel exercises can be done to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, but progress can be quite slow with these, and the lack of results can be frustrating.

Emsella uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic technology (HIFEM) to stimulate the deep muscles on the pelvic floor. This treatment is the equivalent of about 12,000 Kegel exercises. As the pelvic floor muscles are tightened, neuromuscular control is restored. This dramatically decreases the constant urge to use the bathroom, urine leakage during exercise or sex, vaginal laxity, and urine leakage when sneezing or coughing.

Who is a candidate for Emsella?

Men or women who have mild to moderate bladder leakage are likely ideal candidates for Emsella. Those who are pregnant, have metal implants, illness, pacemakers or other implanted electronic devices are not candidates for Emsella.

Candidates:

  • leak urine when they sneeze, cough, jump or engage in any strenuous activity
  • need to use the bathroom constantly
  • find they can’t always make it to the bathroom in time
  • are women experiencing vaginal laxity
  • are men who have incontinence after prostate cancer and treatment

Emsella for Sexual Wellness

The pelvic floor muscles are an important part of sexual wellness. Studies have shown that pelvic floor weakness can lead to sexual dysfunction. In addition to strengthening the pelvic floor muscles, Emsella also triggers collagen production in the vaginal area, resulting in stronger, healthier, more sensitive tissues of the labia, clitoris and vagina, and a tighter vaginal canal. By strengthening their pelvic floor and achieving a healthier vaginal area with Emsella treatments, many patients experience heightened sensations, more easily achieved orgasms, and stronger orgasms. This creates a generally positive effect on sexual wellness.

Emsella is also known to boost sexual wellness for men, improving their ability to orgasm and their orgasm strength. A loss of strength and elasticity in the genital area, and weakened muscle tone and blood flow, all contribute to trouble with sexual excitement and the ability to orgasm. Behind these issues are weakened pelvic floor muscles. Emsella strengthens the pelvic floor for men as well as women, achieving a strong pelvic floor and allowing men to feel more sensation and reach orgasm more easily.

Emsella helps to give your sex drive a boost, makes sex more pleasurable, and can contribute to more confidence and happiness in your sexuality.

What is the recovery time?

The Emsella treatment is not painful. Patients will feel mild contractions at a fast pace, but this sensation is easily tolerated. During your treatment, you can sit back and relax or read a book or magazine.

Because Emsella is non-invasive, there is no downtime or recovery period. After your treatments, you can continue on with your day, returning to work or your usual activities.

Results

Emsella is an extremely effective treatment, and you will be able to notice improved bladder control immediately. However, we recommend six sessions total, done twice a week, for the best results.

You don’t have to schedule follow up treatments or continue Emsella regularly, but many patients choose to have a maintenance treatment about once a month. During your consultation, we will discuss your options, condition and treatment plan with you, ensuring we have a plan that best suits your unique needs and goals.
