Dr. Sofer has served as the chief of Plastic Surgery at St Vincent’s Medical Center and is an active member of the prestigious American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (ASPS). At ASPS, he had the privilege of serving on the Patient Safety committee, contributing to safety guidelines in the field of plastic surgery, and on the Membership Committee, where he contributed to the determination of ethical standards for ASPS members. Dr Sofer is also a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the Surgical Society of New York Medical College, the Connecticut Medical Society, and the Fairfield County Medical Society.
