IPL Spot Treatment Results by Melissa! (Yes that’s my face!😝)
Intense Pulsed Light, otherwise known as IPL, is a non-invasive light therapy that is used to reduce vascular and pigmented lesions (“reds and browns”). It can also reduce pore size, thereby resulting in a smooth appearance of the skin. This spot likely developed during my teenage sun-worshiping years. It was hiding under some dead skin cells and revealed itself after a much needed dermaplane a few years ago. I did have it treated with IPL over a year ago, but Brown spots like this can resurface, so intermittent IPL treatments and daily sunscreen are necessary to maintain results.
